The many faces of Grace

These are just a few of the many pics I have of our sweet Grace!  As you can tell by the pictures, she is getting so much love and attention in her foster home.  That is part of the reason we just couldn't change her name.  God's grace is surrounding Grace everyday by the love and care she is receiving from her nanny and the other volunteers at the Starfish Home.

  1. Hi, I just had to comment when I stumbled upon your blog. I'm Keri, and I lived in China for a year with my husband. During our time there, we visited the Starfish Foster Home. And we met your Grace. She is so sweet, so precious and so memorable. I am so happy she is going to be a member of your family. I regularly think about our time at Starfish and this has just brought back so many memories.

I wrote about our experience there, and posted pictures of her and the other babies on our blog. http://keriinreallife.wordpress.com/2012/01/11/starfish-caring-for-the-one/

  2. Hi Keri!!! I just looked at your blog and saw the pics of Grace and her friends!!! Thank you so much for posting on here and giving me the link to your blog!!! Any little info I can get about Grace helps me so much deal with the wait to get her!!! I am sooooo ready to get on that plane and get her in my arms! From what I have learned about her - you still have to work hard to earn a smile from her!! However, once she is comfortable with you - then watch out - she is a busy, busy bee and will give you a run for your money :) I can't wait to experience that!!! I will be posting on here while I travel - so please keep reading :) we are just waiting for China to send us our travel approval and then we can make our plane reservations. We have entered into the third week of waiting for TA and it is getting harder to be patient!!

  3. I'm so excited for you and your family Stacey! I hope you get word soon and are able to go pick up your little girl. You are right, we definitely had to work for Grace's smile but when it came it was so, so worth it. Very happy for you :) I've loved getting to remember those special moments we spent at Starfish and am excited your moments are coming soon. You, your family and Grace will be so lucky to have each other.
